Charity Contributions and Fees Policy

Last updated 22 September 2026

This page explains the amount an attendee pays, the amount an organiser receives and how charity contributions are handled. It supplements our Terms of Service.

What a £0 ticket costs

A £0 ticket has no ticket price. Each ticket still has a fixed £1 Haaameem platform fee and at least £1 charity contribution, so the minimum checkout total is £2. Any higher charity contribution is shown before payment.

Paid tickets

The attendee pays the displayed ticket price, the fixed £1 platform fee and any charity contribution shown at checkout. The organiser pays Haaameem 4.4% of paid-ticket revenue plus the actual Stripe payment-processing costs attributable to those bookings.

When charges are shown

The ticket price, fixed £1 Haaameem platform fee, charity contribution and unavoidable checkout total must be shown before an attendee commits to payment. A £0 ticket must not be described as a free booking because its minimum total is £2.

The charity

Haaameem is not a registered charity. Every event that can collect a charity contribution must identify its intended charity before publication, either from Haaameem’s catalogue or by providing that charity’s official secure website. The charity is shown on the event detail before payment. A catalogue listing or custom website does not imply a formal partnership, verification or endorsement.

How the contribution is handled

YAZ360DIGITAL LTD, trading as Haaameem, receives the contribution as part of the booking payment, records it separately from the ticket price and platform fee, and manually transfers the net charity balance to the displayed charity after reconciliation. Refunds, reversals, chargebacks and applicable Stripe or other payment-processing costs are deducted before transfer; Haaameem does not subsidise those costs. We normally aim to complete the transfer within 30 days after the event ends once those deductions are reconciled. If, after reasonable attempts, the displayed charity cannot receive the balance, Haaameem will redirect it to another eligible charity and record the replacement recipient. Haaameem does not apply its 4.4% organiser charge to charity contributions, and the balance is not paid to the organiser.

How charity money is held and protected

Charity contributions do not pass directly to the charity when an attendee books. Until manual transfer, they remain in Haaameem’s Stripe platform balance alongside other booking receipts and are separately identified in Haaameem’s records; they are not held in a separate client bank account. Contributors therefore accept the risks inherent in Haaameem receiving and holding the money before onward transfer, including payment reversals, fraud, recipient failure and platform insolvency. Haaameem restricts operational access, reconciles the recorded charity balance and may pause a transfer while investigating suspected fraud, sanctions, illegality or recipient concerns. These safeguards reduce, but do not remove, those risks.

Haaameem charges and payment costs

Haaameem does not apply its 4.4% organiser charge to charity contributions and does not currently deduct a Haaameem setup fee, monthly fee or administration percentage from the contribution. Actual payment-processing, refund, reversal and chargeback costs attributable to the contribution can reduce the balance transferred. There is no separate checkout option for an attendee to cover these processing costs. Haaameem does not add interest to the recorded charity balance.

Worked £10 example (US credit card)

For a £0 ticket with a £10 charity contribution, the attendee pays £11.00 in total: the £10.00 contribution plus the separate £1.00 Haaameem platform fee. Haaameem deducts £0.00 from the contribution as its own fee. In an actual Haaameem Stripe test transaction using a US credit card, Stripe deducted £0.55 from the £11.00 payment, leaving a £9.45 net charity balance. The Stripe deduction can differ for another card country or payment method, so Haaameem uses the actual processing cost recorded for each payment when reconciling the charity balance.

Checks and failed transfers

Haaameem may request evidence of a charity’s identity, status, official website or payment details and may pause a contribution or transfer while checking suspected fraud, sanctions, illegality or incorrect recipient information. Where legally required, information may be provided to Stripe, a bank, regulator or law-enforcement authority. If, after reasonable attempts, the displayed charity cannot receive the balance, Haaameem will redirect it to another eligible charity and record the replacement recipient.

Refunds

An attendee cancellation does not refund the platform fee or charity contribution. If Haaameem issues a full refund because the organiser cancels or the booking cannot be fulfilled, the full amount charged, including the platform fee and charity contribution, is returned to the original payment method. This does not affect any remedy required by consumer law.

Gift Aid and receipts

Haaameem does not claim or promise Gift Aid through the booking. A Haaameem booking confirmation is not a charity Gift Aid declaration or a receipt issued by the charity.
