The terms that govern using Haaameem

Acceptance of terms

• By creating an account, browsing events, booking a ticket, or hosting an event on Haaameem, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy.
• If you are using Haaameem on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
• We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified inside the app, on this page, or by email where appropriate.

Your account

• Accounts are created using phone OTP verification. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number and account secure.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Some events may have their own age, audience, or attendance requirements set by the organiser.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile and contact details up to date.
• You may not impersonate another person, share your account, or operate multiple accounts to evade restrictions, refunds, or moderation actions.

Bookings, tickets, and fees

• When you book a ticket, you enter a contract with the event organiser for that event. Haaameem facilitates the booking, payment, and ticketing but is not itself the organiser unless explicitly stated.
• A £1 booking fee is added to each ticket at checkout. The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.
• Paid tickets are processed through Stripe. By completing a booking you agree to Stripe’s applicable terms in addition to ours.
• Tickets are personal to the named attendee and may not be resold or transferred without the organiser’s permission.

Charity contributions

• Every free event includes a charity contribution of at least £1, collected at checkout before your ticket is issued. The £1 minimum is enforced at the system level — organisers cannot set it lower.
• Organisers may choose to set a higher charity contribution, attach a charity contribution to paid events, or run charity-focused events where 100% of proceeds go to the cause.
• Charity contributions are non-refundable in all cases and are routed to vetted charity partners.

Cancellations and refunds

• If the organiser cancels an event, all paid bookings are automatically refunded to the original payment method, less the non-refundable £1 booking fee and any charity contribution already collected.
• Attendee-initiated cancellations are not refundable. Booking a ticket is treated as a real commitment to attending; the £1 booking fee and any charity contribution are non-refundable.
• If you believe a booking should be reviewed for exceptional reasons, contact us using the details at the end of these terms. Reviews are at our sole discretion and are not a guarantee of a refund.

Hosting events as an organiser

• Organisers must be approved by Haaameem before listing paid events. Approval involves Stripe Connect onboarding, where Stripe verifies your identity, business or sole-trader status, and bank details.
• Organisers are responsible for the safety, accuracy, and conduct of their own events, including venue arrangements, capacity, accessibility, and compliance with local law.
• Payouts are reviewed and released by the Haaameem team, typically 3–4 days after the event finishes, and sent via Stripe to the organiser’s bank. Before releasing funds we may verify that the event took place and that there were no serious complaints from attendees.
• Repeat cancellations, no-shows, complaints, or misrepresentation may affect your organiser standing and your ability to list future events.
• Organisers agree to a halal-friendly conduct policy and accurate audience labelling (brothers, sisters, family, or mixed). Misrepresenting an event’s nature or audience is a breach of these terms.

Community conduct

• Haaameem is built for Muslim community. You agree to behave respectfully toward other attendees, organisers, and staff in chats, reviews, and at events themselves.
• You may not use Haaameem to harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against others, to promote illegal activity, or to share content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• We may remove content, suspend accounts, or refuse service for breaches of these terms or our community conduct policy, at our discretion.

Intellectual property

• The Haaameem name, logo, app, website, and original content are owned by Haaameem LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
• You retain ownership of content you submit (event listings, photos, reviews, chat messages). By submitting content you grant Haaameem a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to run the service.

Disclaimers and liability

• Events listed on Haaameem are run by third-party organisers. Haaameem is not responsible for the conduct, safety, or outcomes of events themselves, except where required by law.
• The service is provided "as is" and without warranties beyond those required by applicable consumer protection law.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haaameem’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you have paid to Haaameem in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless local consumer law gives you a non-waivable right to bring the claim elsewhere.
