Privacy Policy
How Haaameem handles your data
This Privacy Policy explains how Haaameem collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services.
This version is intended to support app store submission and public launch readiness. You should still have it reviewed by legal counsel before full-scale production release.
Information we collect
- Account and profile details such as your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, profile photo, gender, and other profile information you choose to provide.
- Location data when you grant permission so we can show nearby events, estimate distance, improve local recommendations, and support location-based features.
- Event and booking information such as tickets, RSVPs, waitlists, organiser submissions, reviews, support messages, and your activity inside the app.
- Chat and community data when you use in-app messaging or event chat features.
- Payment and transaction information for paid bookings. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.
- Media you choose to upload, including profile images, event images, or other content submitted through the app.
- Device, diagnostic, and usage information such as push notification tokens, app performance data, crash data, and general analytics needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- To let you discover, book, host, manage, and attend events.
- To personalise the app, including event recommendations, nearby listings, and relevant notifications.
- To process payments, confirm bookings, send receipts, and support organiser payouts where applicable.
- To send service messages, safety notices, moderation actions, account updates, and push notifications you opt in to receive.
- To protect users, enforce our policies, investigate misuse, and maintain the safety and integrity of the platform.
- To monitor performance, fix bugs, analyse product usage, and improve Haaameem over time.
How we share information
- With service providers that help us run the platform, such as hosting, authentication, notifications, analytics, maps, chat, image/media infrastructure, and payment providers.
- With Stripe and related payment partners to process transactions and support billing or payout operations.
- With organisers and attendees as needed for event participation, ticketing, community features, and support.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Haaameem, our users, or the public.
- As part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, subject to applicable law.
Permissions and sensitive data
- Location permission is used to show nearby events, improve discovery, and support location-based features.
- Notification permission is used to send booking updates, organiser alerts, reminders, and other service-related notifications.
- Camera or photo access may be requested when you scan tickets, upload profile photos, or add event media.
- We ask for access only when a feature requires it, and you can manage many permissions from your device settings.
Data retention
- We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the platform.
- Some records may be retained for fraud prevention, financial compliance, moderation, safety, or operational continuity even after an account is closed, where permitted by law.
Your choices
- You can review and update parts of your profile within the app.
- You can disable location or notification permissions through your device settings, though some features may stop working properly.
- You can request account deletion or contact us about privacy-related questions at the email below.
Children
- Haaameem is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without appropriate authorisation, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice where required.
